FRAGRANCE OF CHRIST – April News by Noel

Hi, Everyone! This is Noel in Ireland. I hope you don’t mind receiving a little update with some prayer requests. I’ll try to keep it brief.

It’s hard to believe that 5 weeks have already passed since I made my trip to the United States. I had such a great time seeing so many of you as well as meeting some new friends. It was fun to connect and feel such as sense of sincere, generous love. Whether it was talks over tea in your sitting room, hamburger dinners, sauerkraut and banana split desserts or conversations while watching college basketball, I had a great time.

 

Below I have included some recent pictures as well as some prayer requests… just to keep those of you who are interested updated on “what’s up” over here in Ireland…

Some friends of mine are leading up the starting up of the first Teen Challenge men’s home in Ireland. This last week my roommate, Paul, and I helped with some construction projects that they were doing in order to get this huge home operational to take approximately 28 residents starting in August. Below are some pictures.

Prayer Requests:

 

Youth:
- This summer I have monthly youth events planned to connect with more youth in the community and hopefully create opportunities to share Christ. 
- We will be doing a book study group (or 2) this summer that will hopefully challenge the young people to a deeper walk of purity in their relationship with God and those of the opposite sex.

- This June the youth group will be helping to host a youth BBQ that will likely be attended by many different youth groups. Pray for deeper relationships between the different churches through this event as well as for people who don’t know God to experience His presence at this event.

 

Church:

- In May and June we are hoping to start and finish the inner construction of a warehouse we have bought. I will likely be coordinating a lot of what takes place as our pastor will be gone for 3 weeks. Please pray for us and the timing of everything to work out well.

 

Personal:

- Continued wisdom in how to focus my energies.

- Wisdom in my relationships with people as a leader/servant and as a single guy.

- Health and presence of God in the life of my dad who is going through a battle with cancer (my dad, Jack, who lives in Cleveland).
