Childlike faith--so simple and to the point. Kid's don't try to twist God's arm or explain the situation to Him. They just pray and believe. In her book, When Children Pray, Cheri Fuller talks about those qualities that make children such powerful prayer warriors. Fuller writes, "Children possess an uncanny ability to cut to the core of the issue, to expose life to the bone, and strip away the barnacles that cling to the hull of our too sophisticated pseudo-civilization."

Children have hearts of compassion, as evidenced in the prayer of Abby, an Oklahoma fifth-grader, in response to the 1995 bombing of the Murrah Federal Building in her city.

Lord, we have taken a great fall,

and You have caught us in Your gentle, loving hands.

Lord, our tears have fallen like tiny waterfalls,

and You have dried them with Your love.

Lord, we needed someone to blame--and chose You.

This was wrong, but the way You replied

was by forgiving us and comforting us even more.

Lord, there is no way of telling You

how much Your love is helping us get through this tragedy,

so we will only say this: "Thank You."

What a profound statement of faith! It is my heart to see our children released to minister to God and to the people of God. The power is there--we just need wisdom and faith to unlock it. Lord, pour out Your Spirit on our children and renew a childlike faith in each of us that will believe and see You move.

This is a new name and a new emphasis for the old “Kid’s Connection” (our Saturday and Sunday kid's church). A supernova is a catastrophic explosion of a large star in the latter stages of stellar evolution with a resulting luminosity from 10 to 100 million times that of the Sun. This is the last burst of energy from a star before the end.

After the main lesson, children are divided into three centers in separate rooms to do crafts, memory verses, play games, and have snacks. These centers rotate every 20 minutes. Occasionally videos or puppets are featured.

Luke 11:36 Therefore, if your whole body is full of light, and no part of it dark, it will be completely lighted, as when the light of a lamp shines on you.

After a Bible lesson and discussion time, children may move to the craft or game tables. Group games and Bible contests are also included, and of course, snacks!
