We believe that Small Groups are at the very heart of what we do as a church. They are the foremost place in which relationships are built and in which people connect with God through Bible study, prayer, worship, and/or common interests. Small groups also work together to reach their communities, as well as to meet needs within our church. Check out our current list of small groups below!

The mission of the Small Group Ministry at Door Of Hope Church is to glorify God by connecting people in healthy, caring, Christ-centered communities that meet people where they are in their walk with Christ! These are groups where people can encourage one another in their faith, support each other in the challenges of life, and give back to the world around them.
There is no perfect blueprint for how this ministry is accomplished at DOH. The model is individual to each community and each leader. Therefore, a wide array of groups meet—some weekly, some bi-weekly, some once a month—for a variety of activities, including meals, prayer, worship, missions outreach, bible study, fellowship, etc.
There are currently over thirty small groups meeting at DOH. Some groups are born out of ministries (like worship, marriage, prayer, youth), others are connected through a shared experience (like divorce, the military, singles, where you live), while others are open to all (young, old, married, single, students). The components of each group are varied, yet the focus remains on building community while glorifying God.

We are very engaged in missions, outreach and often volunteer in anyway we can support these ministries; for example we sort supplies from the hospital and clinics for Alaska Medical Missions.
Improving our christian walk is also very important to us and often our meetings focus on this. Mostly married and single people attend this group with some children. Older children who can appreciate and enter into the strong spiritual and relational atmosphere are welcome.
